New Star Metal

Our shop, New Star Metal, is situated at No-11 B on Osman Road. We are right in the thick of things in City Market, near Narasimharaja Road. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know it’s a maze of narrow streets and lots of people. We’ve been operating out of this spot for several years now. It’s a very busy place, and there is never a quiet moment. We deal in various metal items, mostly for small-scale construction or repair work. The shop is quite small, so we have to stack things up high to make everything fit. It can be a bit of a struggle to find things sometimes, but we know our inventory. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that; it’s just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. The morning starts with unloading new arrivals, which can be a bit of a workout. We get all sorts of people coming in, from professional contractors to locals who just need a small piece of metal for a home fix. We try to be helpful, even when we are tired. The market atmosphere is something you either love or hate, and we’ve grown to love it over the years. We just keep our heads down and do our work every day. It's a living, and it keeps us busy from dawn to dusk.
