New Kashmir Store

Our shop, New Kashmir Store, is at No 115 on the 1st floor of 5th Avenue in Basavanagar. We are right at the Dange Chowk intersection. It’s a very lively area with a lot of foot traffic and vehicles always passing through. Since we are on the first floor, we have a bit of a climb, but it’s worth it once you see the variety of items we have packed into the space. The store is filled with shelves and racks that go all the way to the ceiling. We spend our time keeping everything organized and helping people find what they need. Basavanagar is a nice neighborhood, and we’ve come to know many of the residents who stop by regularly. Dange Chowk is a landmark that everyone knows, which makes it easy to give directions. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us running the shop every day. The atmosphere is friendly and informal. We talk about the local news or the weather with our customers while we wrap up their purchases. The lighting is bright so people can see the colors and textures of what we sell. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the aisles, especially in the evenings, but we don't mind the bustle. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the shops around us change, but we stay pretty much the same. It’s a straightforward retail life, and we enjoy being part of the local community here.
