New Karnataka Furniture House

We are tucked away at 1150 in Yelahanka New Town, specifically in the 3rd Main I Block. The building has been here for a bit and we have quite a lot of stuff packed inside. New Karnataka Furniture House is basically a big room full of sofas, beds, and chairs. It can be a bit hard to walk around because we try to fit as much as possible on the floor. Some days are quiet and we just spend time dusting the wardrobes or rearranging the dining tables so people can see them better. Other days, we are busy moving heavy items onto trucks which is hard on the back. The neighborhood is mostly residential so we see a lot of the same faces walking by. We do not have a big fancy sign or anything. The shop feels like a regular old furniture store. There is no air conditioning so it gets a bit stuffy when it is crowded. We use old-fashioned ledgers sometimes because it is just easier than using the computer. People come in and sit on the sofas to see if they are soft enough. We do not hover over them. We just let them look. It is a straightforward business and we stay busy with the local folks who need something for their apartments. By the time evening comes, we are usually pretty tired from shifting things around all day and we just want to head home.
