If you are walking around Bellandur, you might find us on the ground floor at 74 1 5. New Global Telecom is basically a small corner of the neighborhood where people come for their phone needs. We have a lot of stuff crammed into the shop, from chargers and cables to different types of phone covers. The ground floor spot is handy because you don't have to climb any stairs when you're in a hurry. It can get pretty dusty with the construction going on around Bellandur, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the display glass. We help people with recharges, new SIM cards, or just picking out a headset that works. It’s a busy life here. The lunch break usually happens whenever the shop is empty for ten minutes. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Bangalore, just a place that’s open when someone needs a quick fix for their mobile. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. The shelves are mostly full of things people ask for every day. We’ve been here long enough to know the regular faces who pass by on their way to work. It’s just a straightforward business, no big bells or whistles, just the usual daily grind in a busy part of town. We keep things going as long as the lights are on.
