New City Times Mobile

If you walk down Padarayanapura 4th Cross, you’ll find us at 17/1. New City Times Mobile isn’t a huge store with bright flashing lights. It’s just a small shop where we spend our time looking at tiny screws and cracked glass. Most of our day is spent under a bright desk lamp trying to fix things that people dropped. It’s a lot of squinting. The neighborhood is busy, so there’s always someone poking their head in to ask a question or check a price. We have shelves with various parts and some old phone cases that have been there forever. We don’t really do fancy marketing. We just fix what’s broken. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive, and we have to tell people to wait. We drink tea from the stall next door while we work. The shop can get a bit cluttered with boxes and tools everywhere, but we know where everything is. It’s a basic setup. We started here because we liked taking things apart to see how they worked. It’s a good spot to see the world go by. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We’re just the local place on the 4th Cross where you can get your phone sorted.
