Started Neo Foods a while ago and we’ve been here at No: 91, Hrs Chambers on Richmond Road for quite some time now. Our office is on the first floor which is handy because the stairs aren't too bad when the lift is acting up again. Richmond Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise coming in from the street, but you get used to it after a few weeks of working here. We mostly spend our time dealing with food products and trying to keep everything organized. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks, computers, and a lot of files that seem to pile up no matter how much we clean. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too terrible unless it rains, then the whole area gets stuck. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that’s usually where the best conversations happen. People come and go throughout the day, delivery guys dropping off samples and clients stopping by to discuss orders. It gets a bit hectic around noon. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just running a food business and making sure the paperwork is right. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the inventory lists. It’s a lot of routine stuff, checking dates and making calls to suppliers. We don't have a big corporate feel here, it’s just a group of us trying to get the work done before the weekend hits.
