Our place is at number 39 on Kamla Nehru Cross Road Number 2, which is part of the Nagarathpet area. If you know this part of town, you know the streets are narrow and always packed with people and goods. We deal with metal, so our shop is filled with various items and raw materials stacked up against the walls. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we get a big shipment in. We spend the day moving things around, weighing metal, and talking to customers who come in looking for specific parts or materials. The lighting isn't great inside, but we know where everything is kept even in the dark corners. Nagarathpet has a specific energy to it, and we have been a part of that for quite some time now. We are not a fancy showroom with glass displays. It is more of a warehouse feel where things are practical and used. You might get some dust on your clothes if you stay too long, but that is just the nature of the metal business. We open up early and stay until the evening, just like everyone else on this cross road. Most of our neighbors are also in trade, so there is a lot of shouting and moving of carts outside. We just focus on our own inventory and making sure we have what people need. It is a simple, old-fashioned way of doing business in a very old part of the city.
