If you are looking for us, we are up on the fourth floor of the Naaz Complex. It’s right above the Vijaya Bank on 3rd Cross, N R Road. The stairs can be a bit of a workout if the lift is acting up again, which happens more often than we’d like. Downstairs is always crowded with people going to the bank or just walking through the market, but once you get up to our floor, it’s a bit quieter. We deal with steel, mostly just taking orders and figuring out the transport. There isn't a lot of space in the office for the actual metal, so we spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with the yards. The desk is always covered in papers and tea cups. My nephew helps out with the accounts now, which is good because the computer stuff is a bit much for me sometimes. We’ve been in this building for a long time. You can see the traffic on N R Road from the window, and it never seems to stop. Dealing with steel is tough work, and prices change every day, so we are always checking the news. It’s just a simple business, nothing flashy. We know most of our regular buyers by their voice when they call. We just try to get the work done and get home before the evening traffic gets really bad. Navkar Steels has been around for a while, just doing our thing in the city.
