National Tempo Services

You can find us at 172 Magadi Road, right in Vidyaranyanagar on the 1st Main Road. We are pretty much directly opposite the Toll Gate Bus Stop, which is a good landmark if you are coming by bus. National Tempo Services has been running out of this spot for quite some time now. It’s a busy stretch of Magadi Main Road. There’s always someone asking for directions near our door. The office is small and mostly filled with logbooks and keys for the tempos. We don’t have a lot of fancy chairs, just the ones we need. It gets a bit loud with the traffic outside, especially during the evening rush when the buses are lined up. We stay open late most days to make sure all the drivers are back safe. My nephew helps with the bookkeeping on the weekends. We don't really have a marketing person. Most people just see the tempos or the sign while they're waiting for their bus. It’s a straightforward business. We move things from one place to another. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, but the work doesn't stop. The building itself is nothing special, just an old concrete structure that’s seen better days. But it keeps the rain off our heads. We’ve known the tea stall guy next door for years. That’s where we get our breaks when things quiet down for a few minutes in the afternoon.
