National Furniture

We are located at 72 BTM Layout 2nd Stage, right in the middle of one of the busiest parts of the city. You can usually hear the sound of hammers and saws coming from the back of the shop. We’ve got all sorts of chairs, tables, and wardrobes crammed into the front display area. There isn't much room to walk around, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over. The smell of fresh wood and polish is always in the air here. I spend most of my day talking to people who are moving into new apartments in BTM and need something basic for their homes. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights; it’s just a practical space where we keep our stock. My hands are usually a bit rough from moving the heavy teak and rosewood pieces around. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change so much around us. The traffic outside is constant, and it can be hard for delivery trucks to find a place to park. Sometimes we sit on the stools near the entrance during the quiet hours in the afternoon. We don't have a website or anything, we just show people what we have on the floor. It’s an honest living, and we try to make things that will actually last for a long time. The dust gets everywhere, but that’s just part of working with furniture.
