Nandini Retail Counter

Nandini Retail Counter is located at 14/1 on Magadi Main Road. If you know the area, you know how busy this road gets with all the trucks and buses passing through. We open up the shutters very early, often before the sun is even up. That is when the milk van arrives, and we have to get everything inside and into the coolers as fast as we can. It is a small place, mainly just a counter and a few large refrigerators. We sell the usual dairy items like milk, curd, and some of those milk sweets that people like. In the mornings, there is usually a line of people holding their bags, waiting to get their supplies for breakfast. It can get a bit frantic when everyone is in a hurry to get to work. We don't have much space for people to stand around and talk, so it is a lot of quick transactions. Sometimes the crates are heavy and our backs ache, but we’ve been doing this for so long that it’s just a habit now. We try to keep everything clean, though with the dust from the main road, it is a constant battle. We don't do any home delivery or anything like that; people just come to us. It’s a simple business, and we are glad to be a part of the daily routine for the folks living around Magadi Road.
