Nandi Steel Corporation

Nandi Steel Corporation is located over at 75 Peenya 2nd Stage in Asarwa. Being in Peenya means we are surrounded by a lot of other industrial sheds and factories. It’s a heavy area. We handle a lot of steel here, so there is always the sound of metal clanging against metal. It’s a big, open space with high ceilings to keep it from getting too hot, though it still does in the summer months. We don’t have fancy office chairs or anything. We mostly sit on whatever is handy when we take a break. The trucks come in through the main gate to load up. It can get pretty hectic when three of them show up at once and we have to get the crane moving. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, so we know the regulars who come by for their supply. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We don’t talk much about industry trends or anything like that; we just focus on the weight of the steel and getting it moved safely. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, but you get used to it after a week. We keep a ledger of what goes out and what comes in. It’s a simple system that works for us. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, just trying to keep the yard organized and the orders moving along. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy.
