You can find us at number 74 in the Nagarbhavi 2nd Stage area, right in the middle of Patel Market. We are very close to the 2nd stage bus stop, so there are always people walking past and buses pulling in and out all day long. The market is a loud, active place, and our shop fits right into that. We deal with steel and industrial materials, so there is usually a lot of clanging and the sound of metal moving around. It isn’t the cleanest job, and our hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the day, but that’s just how it goes here. We have some heavy racks for the stock and a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to move everything back from the entrance to keep it dry. Customers come in looking for specific parts or just to ask about prices, and we spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors in the other shops. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of inventory on hand, but we know where everything is tucked away. It’s a basic operation without any frills. We open up early, sweep the front, and start seeing who comes by. It’s a steady way to spend the day, and being near the bus stop means we never feel isolated from the rest of the city.
