Nancy Engineering

Nancy Engineering is located at 40, Ves Convent Road in Garvebavi Palya, just off the Hosur Main Road. It’s a bit of a trek to get here with all the Bengaluru traffic, but we’ve been at this spot for a while. We do engineering work, mostly small parts and repairs for machines. The shop has a few lathes and drills that run most of the day. It’s noisy and there’s always a bit of oil on the floor, so you have to watch your step. We aren't a big corporation with departments and HR people. It’s just a few engineers and some helpers getting through the daily list of jobs. We get a lot of walk-in work from the smaller factories around Hosur Road. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, and we end up staying late to finish it. We don't have a nice lobby with coffee; we usually just sit on stools in the back when we take a break. The building is an older one and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we moved the machines so they stay dry. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the metal is good. It’s a decent way to make a living and we know our regulars well. We aren't looking to change much as long as the work keeps coming in.
