Fichtner Consulting

This is basically a small consulting operation run by M. Sridhar Mudur. It is not one of those massive firms with hundreds of people running around in circles. Instead, it is much more personal and direct. We spend a lot of time on the computer or on the phone, trying to figure out solutions for the problems people bring to us. Consulting sounds like a fancy word, but for us, it just means sitting down and thinking through things until they make sense. The workspace is pretty quiet most of the time, which is how we like it. There are books and papers everywhere, usually piled up on the desk in a way that looks messy but actually has a system. We don’t have a big HR department or a marketing team. It’s just about the work and the advice we give. Some days are really busy with back-to-back calls, and other days are just spent doing research and writing up notes. We try to keep things grounded and talk to people like they are actual human beings, not just "clients." It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We don't use a lot of jargon if we can help it. If you have a question, we just try to answer it based on what we know. It is a modest setup, but it works for what we do. We just keep pluggin' away at the projects and seeing them through to the end, one step at a time.
