Wood World Interiors

Wood World Interiors is located at No. 104 Langford Road, right by the Nagappa Circle. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the saws before you see the sign. We do a lot of woodwork here, so there is always a layer of sawdust on everything, including our clothes. The shop is on a corner, so we get a lot of light, which is good for seeing the grain in the wood. We have different types of boards stacked against the walls. It’s not a neat place. There are hammers, measuring tapes, and glue pots scattered around on the workbenches. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and trying to make things fit together properly. Langford Road is always busy, so we hear the horns from Nagappa Circle all day long. Sometimes customers come in with drawings on napkins, and we try to figure out how to build what they want. We don't use fancy software; we mostly just use pencils and rulers. The air always smells like pine or teak, which is better than the exhaust from the cars outside. It’s just a few of us working with our hands. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just a workshop where we get our hands dirty and try to finish things on time. Sometimes a piece of wood has a knot we didn't see, and we have to start over, but that is just part of the job.
