City Chairs

City Chairs has its home at No. 5 on the 2nd Cross, over in Hosahalli, Vijayanagar. If you know the 9th B Main Road area, we are just a short walk from there. We’ve got chairs of all shapes and sizes packed into every corner of the shop. Sometimes it feels like there isn't even enough room to walk around because of all the office chairs and plastic seats stacked up toward the ceiling. We mostly deal with local folks and small businesses nearby who just need a few extra seats for their office or home. It’s a very simple business. We spend a lot of our time tightening screws or showing people how the height adjustment works on the new swivel ones. It’s not a very fancy place, and the floor is usually covered in bits of plastic wrap or pieces of cardboard from the last delivery. Vijayanagar is a very lively place to be, and there is always something happening right out on the street. We’ve been at this specific spot for a good bit now. People know they can just drop in and try out a chair to see if it’s comfortable enough for a full day of work. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights and salesmen in suits. It’s just a practical shop where the stuff is ready to go. My brother helps me out with all the heavy lifting and handles the deliveries when someone buys more than just a couple. It’s honest work and it certainly keeps us on our feet, literally, most of the day.
