N K Steel & Pressing

Our shop is tucked away in the Bommanahalli area, specifically on the 3rd Cross over in Mangamanapalya. It is a very industrial part of town, so there is always the sound of metal hitting metal or some heavy machines humming nearby. N K Steel & Pressing has been running from this same location for a good bit of time now. We mostly deal with raw steel and the pressing machines we have out in the back shed. It is loud and pretty messy work, to be honest. Our clothes usually have grease or metallic dust on them by the time lunch rolls around. The space isn’t exactly huge, but we have organized it so the heavy sheets stay in one corner. We started out with just a couple of guys and now there are a few more of us helping out with the daily workload. The road outside can get very muddy when it rains, which makes it a real task to get deliveries in and out without getting stuck. We don't do any big advertising or anything; people just find us because they need steel work done. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the heavy traffic on the main road. It is a simple life of working with your hands every single day. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon trying to fix it ourselves. That is just part of how things go in this line of business and we just keep at it.
