N E Telecom

N E Telecom is our shop at Kalasipalyam 103. It’s right in the middle of one of the busiest parts of the city. There’s always something happening outside, whether it's the buses pulling in or the street vendors setting up their stalls. Our shop is quite narrow, so we have to be careful with how we use the space. We’ve got shelves lining both walls and a long counter where we do all our business. We’ve been at 103 for a long time, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. The shop itself hasn't changed much though. We still have the same old cabinets and the same way of doing things. We handle a lot of different mobile phones, mostly for people who are in a hurry. Because of where we are, we get a lot of walk-in traffic. It can be quite stressful when several people are all asking questions at once, but we just take them one by one. We don't have any fancy marketing or slogans. We just work. The air in the shop can get a bit stuffy because there isn't much ventilation, but we have a small door at the back we open sometimes. It’s a gritty, honest kind of place. We open the shutters early and we don't leave until the market starts to wind down for the night. It’s hard work, but we are used to it.
