Morley Resource Center

We are tucked away on the second floor of a building at number 21 on I Main in Shakambarinagar. It’s right there at the 7L1 Cross in JP Nagar 1st Phase. It’s a busy part of Bangalore but our particular corner stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads. We’ve been here for a while now, just running Morley Resource Center from a few simple rooms. It’s not a fancy corporate space with glass walls or anything like that. We have some old desks, chairs that have seen better days, and a couple of computers that usually work fine. Most days, it’s just a few of us handling the paperwork and answering the phone when people call. We don’t really do any big marketing or have a polished front. Most people find us through word of mouth or if they happen to live in the neighborhood and see our small sign near the gate. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, so we get our exercise in every day. Sometimes the power cuts out for an hour or two in the afternoon, so we just sit by the window or grab a coffee from the stall down the street until it comes back on. It’s a very practical way of working. We don't have a big mission statement. We just show up, do the resource work that needs doing, and try to keep things organized. The traffic on I Main gets pretty thick in the evenings, so we usually wrap up before the worst of it starts.
