Down at No.2636/4 near Reliance Point in Bommanahalli, you will find Mondal Hand Embriodairy. We are a small operation that focuses on handwork. It’s a bit of a trek to get here through the Bommanahalli traffic sometimes, but we are always here. The space is filled with needles, threads, and frames. You can usually hear the sound of work going on as soon as you step inside. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and see us working on whatever piece is currently on the table. Hand embroidery takes a lot of time and patience, so the atmosphere is usually pretty focused. We have a few lights set up specifically to see the tiny stitches. The floor sometimes has scraps of thread everywhere by the end of the afternoon. We aren't trying to be a big factory. It’s just a local spot where we do our best with the designs people bring us. Most of the folks who come here are from the nearby area or found us because they needed something fixed or decorated by hand. It’s a lot of sitting and concentrated effort. We like the neighborhood even if it gets a bit dusty. We just keep our heads down and get the work done day by day. Every piece is different, and we take our time with each one. It's slow work but we don't mind.
