Our workshop and office are located on St. Johns Road at Chafekar Chowk, number 19. It’s a place that is usually filled with the sound of saws and the smell of fresh wood or paint. We have fabric swatches and wood samples scattered all over the tables, and sometimes it is hard to find a place to even sit down and have a tea. We spend our days drawing up plans on bits of paper and talking to carpenters about how to fit a cupboard into a weirdly shaped corner. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring because houses never have perfectly straight walls. We aren't the type to wear suits; we are usually covered in a bit of dust or carrying around heavy catalogs. The traffic outside at Chafekar Chowk is always buzzing, but inside we are just focused on getting the details right for someone’s kitchen or bedroom. We deal with painters, electricians, and plumbers all day long, trying to make sure everyone is doing their part of the job. It can be a bit stressful when a shipment of tiles arrives broken or the color isn't quite what we expected, but we always find a way to fix it. We just like making spaces look better and more useful for the people who live in them, one room at a time, without trying to make it more complicated than it is.
