Mobile World

We are over at G 19 5 on Vasna Road, right near Brigade Road in Vadodara. It is a small shop, mostly filled with phone cases and various chargers scattered around. Most days start with opening the shutters and sweeping the floor before the first people come in. Usually, folks are dropping by because they cracked a screen or their battery is acting up again. We have a small workbench in the back where most of the fixing happens. It’s not the tidiest place, but we know where every screwdriver and soldering iron is kept. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, especially when it gets really hot in the afternoon. We have been in this spot for a while now, so the neighbors usually stop by just to say hello or ask about the latest models. My cousin helps out on the busy days when there are too many repairs piled up on the counter. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic stools if you need to sit for a minute. The lighting in the shop is a bit bright, but it helps when you are trying to see those tiny screws inside a phone. Most people who live around Vasna Road know we stay open a bit late. It gets pretty quiet after the sun goes down, but that’s when I usually catch up on the paperwork or organize the stock we got in that morning.
