Mobile World

People around Yelahanka know where to find us. We've been sitting in this same spot for quite a while now. The shop isn't much to look at, just a counter and some shelves full of phone cases that have been there too long. It gets pretty dusty with the construction nearby. Most days, it's just me and a couple of others trying to figure out why someone's phone stopped working or why the screen is all glitchy. We don't have fancy diagnostic machines. We just use our hands and a few tools we've had for years. Sometimes a customer comes in frustrated because they dropped their phone in water, and we have to tell them it’s a tough fix. We see all kinds of people here. Some just want a cheap charger because they lost theirs on the bus. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Word just gets around the neighborhood. It's a bit loud with the traffic outside, but you get used to it. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The back room is a mess of wires and old parts that we might need one day. It’s just a regular life here in the shop. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the locals connected so they can call their families. Sometimes we close a bit early if it's a slow Tuesday or if the weather gets too bad. It's just a basic shop doing its thing.
