Down on Mkk Road in Rajajinagar, you’ll find us at number 3046. Miranda Telecom is where we spend our days dealing with SIM cards and phone recharges. It’s a noisy street with plenty of people walking by all the time. The shop is basically a lot of glass cases filled with different models of phones and some old accessories that have been there for way too long. We get a lot of people coming in because they forgot their passwords or their internet isn't working right. We spend a lot of time explaining how to use new apps to people who didn't grow up with them. The plastic chairs we have for customers are a bit wobbly, but they do the job. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit there in the dark waiting for it to come back on. We keep a stash of snacks in the drawer because we often don't get a real lunch break. The walls are covered in posters for data plans that change every week. It’s a lot of talking and repeating the same instructions. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we know the tea seller next door pretty well. He brings us a cup every morning without us even asking. It’s just a small shop where we try to keep the neighbors connected to their families. We don't have fancy displays, just the usual stuff you would expect.
