Millennium Leather Designers

Millennium Leather Designers is located over at No. 151 on the 2nd Main in Sunkadakatte. If you know Magadi Main Road, we are not too hard to find. We are tucked away a bit, but it is a good spot for the kind of leather work we do. The shop is full of scraps and rolls of leather most days. We spend a lot of time cutting and stitching. It is a small team here, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. The noise of the sewing machines is pretty constant from morning till evening. We do not have a big sign out front, just the address. People who need design work done usually find us through someone they know. It is a hands-on kind of place. Your hands get a bit stained from the leather dyes, but that is part of the job. We do not have air conditioning, so we keep the windows open to catch the breeze. Sunkadakatte is a working-class neighborhood and we fit right in. We are not doing anything high-tech, just old-fashioned design and making things by hand. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to wait for the delivery, which slows us down. But mostly we just keep the needles moving. It is a quiet life if you do not count the noise of the machines. We just like making things that last.
