Mia Tent House

Richmond Town is a busy place, and being right at Khodiyar Nagar Char Rasta 5 means we see everything that happens at the crossroads. Mia Tent House is tucked into this corner where we manage all the rental supplies. The traffic outside is constant, and you can always hear the horns honking. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with all the stage parts and the rolls of carpeting. We spend a lot of time checking the ropes and making sure the poles aren't bent. When a festival comes around, things get frantic and we're barely in the shop, mostly out at the sites. We don't use any fancy computer systems; we just remember where everything is. The walls are a bit faded, and the floor has scuff marks from moving the heavy metal crates around. It’s a family-run sort of thing, so there’s always someone hanging around to talk to the customers. We don't put on airs or try to act like a big corporation. If you need fifty chairs or a canopy for a small prayer meeting, we just pull it out of the stack. Sometimes the rain catches us off guard and we have to rush to cover everything with plastic sheets. It’s just the way life goes at the Char Rasta. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors don't even notice the noise of us loading the trucks anymore. We just keep the business running as best as we can.
