MG Telecom is based in Gayathri Nagar on the 1st Main Road, specifically at house number 3052/A. The shop itself is on the smaller side, mostly consisting of a long glass counter and some shelves for phone cases and chargers. The street outside stays busy with scooters and people heading toward the market nearby. We spend most of our time behind that counter, either fixing cracked screens or trying to help someone who can’t get their phone to turn on. Because of the road outside, things get dusty pretty fast, so we are always using a cloth to wipe down the display glass. There isn’t much room to move around in the back, especially when we have several repair jobs going on at the same time. We have tools and wires scattered across the workbench, even though we try to keep it neat. My cousin usually comes in to help during the busy evening hours when everyone stops by after work. The shop gets a lot of sunlight in the morning, which is nice, but later on we have to turn on the old tube lights that make a soft humming sound. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that; it’s just us here from morning until night. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait a while to finish a transaction, which can be a bit frustrating. Local people often stop by just to say hello while we are working on a phone.
