Metro Mobiles

We set up Metro Mobiles in Basavanagudi quite some time back. The shop is located at 41519 and it’s a place where we spend most of our waking hours. Usually, the morning starts with wiping down the glass counters and checking which phones need their screens fixed from the previous day. Basavanagudi is a busy area so there's always someone popping in to ask about a charger or why their battery isn't holding a charge anymore. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard and a screwdriver. The back room is usually full of half-opened phones and tiny screws that we have to be careful not to lose. Sometimes it gets loud with the street noise outside but we've gotten used to it. We don't really do much advertising because people just know we're here. We keep a variety of cases and protectors on the walls. Most of our day is spent hunched over a workbench under a bright lamp. It can be tiring on the eyes but seeing a phone turn back on after it’s been dropped in water is a good feeling. We close up when the street lights come on and head home like everyone else in the neighborhood. It’s a simple life running a mobile shop here and we wouldn't have it any other way than this.
