We are located in Yeshwanthpur. It’s a massive operation here at Metro Cash & Carry India Pvt Ltd. If you’ve ever walked into our place, you know it’s more of a warehouse than a typical store. We deal with wholesale, so it’s all about the volume. It’s a very loud and busy environment. There are forklifts moving pallets around constantly and people shouting to be heard over the noise of the machines. We’ve got rows and rows of shelves stacked high with everything you could think of. It’s a lot of work to keep it all organized. Most of us who work here are on our feet all day. It’s not a desk job where you sit around and drink coffee. We are busy from the moment the doors open until we close up at night. Yeshwanthpur is a major hub, so there are always trucks coming in to drop off supplies or customers picking up large orders for their own shops. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We don’t really have time for a lot of corporate talk. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right and making sure the checkout lines move as fast as possible. It’s a tough job sometimes, and it gets very hot in the summer with all the activity, but it’s honest work. We’re just a big part of the local supply chain, helping other businesses get what they need.
