Our shop is at B 46 in Kumbalagodu, right near the Manthan Society area. If you’re driving down National Highway 8, you take the turn toward Lambha Road to find us. It’s a bit out of the way for some, but it works for what we do at Metrix Precision Components Pvt Ltd. The building is a standard industrial block. Inside, there is a lot of humming from the machines. We spend most of our time looking at small parts and making sure the measurements aren't off. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. The lunchroom is small, so we usually eat in shifts. Most of us bring food from home. On Fridays, sometimes we order something from the stalls on the highway. The dust from the road can be a bit much in the summer. We have a small team here. Everyone knows each other's business, for better or worse. We keep the floor as clean as we can, though oil spills happen now and then. There’s a lot of metal scraps in the bins outside. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to make the place look like a showroom. It’s a functional space. The overhead lights are a bit bright, but you need that when you're working with small components. We’ve been at this location for a while now and the neighbors at Manthan Society are used to the noise. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation for us.
