We’ve been at 18/1A on Basavanagudi Lal Bagh Fort Road for a long time now. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a plain building with some heavy doors. Inside, it’s a different story. There’s the constant sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of welding sparks. We do all kinds of metal work here. It’s dusty and loud, and by the end of the day, our clothes are pretty much ruined with grease. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come in, you’ll likely find us huddled over a workbench or moving some heavy pipes around. Lal Bagh Fort Road is always jammed with traffic, so the noise from the street mixes in with our machines. We aren't really into big talk. We just listen to what you need, take some measurements, and get to it. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job that’s being stubborn. We drink a lot of tea from the stall around the corner to keep ourselves going. It’s a hard way to earn a living, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we’re still here in the same spot. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just us and our tools. We try to be fair and do a decent job every time. If something isn't right, we fix it. That's just how it goes here in Basavanagudi.
