Metalite International

We are right on Jayanagar New Bamboo Bazaar Road, which stays pretty busy from early morning until late at night. You can hear the trucks unloading nearby and there is always a smell of fresh wood and old metal in the air. At Metalite International, we don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It is mostly just stacks of material and us trying to keep track of what goes where. The building at 365 has seen better days, but it holds our stuff and keeps the rain off the equipment. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the back to see if we have enough stock for the next person who asks. It’s not a glamorous job, just handling metal and making sure the counts are right. We usually start the day with a quick cleanup, though it never stays tidy for long once the work gets going. The guys in the back have been doing this for years, so they know the sounds of the machines better than anyone. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused when the afternoon slump hits. It’s just a local spot where we deal with whatever comes our way, one piece of metal at a time. Nothing more to it than that, really. We just show up and do the work.
