Metal Mesh

Our shop, Metal Mesh, is right at No. 9 on Godown Street. If you know the City Market area, you’ll know how packed it gets around Silver Jubilee Park Road. We have been here for years, squeezed in between other small businesses. The street is always loud with people shouting and carts being pushed around. Inside the shop, it’s quite cramped because we try to fit in as much mesh as we can. We have all kinds of metal rolls stacked up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have many employees, just a couple of us who have been doing this for a long time. We know where everything is kept, even if it looks messy to anyone else. Dealing with the traffic on Silver Jubilee Park Road is probably the hardest part of our day. We have to get our supplies delivered very early in the morning before the crowds get too thick. It’s an old building, and the walls are a bit stained, but it serves us well enough for what we do. We don't have any flashy signs or a big website to show off. People usually just find us because they’ve been coming here for twenty years or someone told them we had what they needed. We just sell the mesh and keep the ledger updated by hand. It’s a simple life in a busy market, and we just keep at it.
