MERAKI INTERIOR DESIGNS STUDIOS PRIVATE LIMITED is located at No. 22 in Kalkere Village. We are specifically at Channasandra Horamavu. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from the main city, but it’s where our studio is. We spend our time looking at floor plans, picking out wood samples, and talking to carpenters. The studio is at K.No. 74 and P.No. 55. It’s not a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a working space where things are a bit messy with drawings and swatches. Horamavu is always under construction it seems, which I guess is good for an interior design business. There’s always dust from the roadworks nearby. We don’t have a big team. It’s just a few of us who like making houses look like homes. We often have to run out to sites across Bangalore, so the office is sometimes empty during the day. We don’t really do the whole corporate pitch thing. Usually, people just see what we’ve done for their neighbors and give us a call. We keep our samples in big crates and the walls are covered in sketches. It’s a bit chaotic but it works for us. We like the quiet of Kalkere compared to the noise of the main ring road. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day.
