Menak Steel

Menak Steel is located right at 11 Ganigarpet. It’s tucked away in Annadanappa Lane, just off the Western Express Highway. Being so close to the highway makes it easier for the trucks, though the lane itself can be a bit tight when things get busy. We deal with steel items every day, mostly stuff for building or repair work. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. The sounds of metal clanking together is pretty much the background music here. We have all sorts of rods and sheets stacked up against the walls. Some days it’s quiet, and we’re just counting stock or organizing the back area. Other days, it’s a constant stream of people needing specific cuts or sizes. We don’t really do much fancy talking here. People come in, tell us what they need for their project, and we see if we have it in the pile. Annadanappa Lane has been our home for some time now. We know the other shop owners nearby well. It’s a practical spot for a steel business. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one where the local builders know they can find us. We keep the ledger on the old desk and try to keep track of everything coming in and out. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We just keep things simple and get the orders out as they come.
