Mehta Metal Corporation is situated at No. 9, D.R. Lane, just off the Sjp Road Cross near KR Market. If you know the market area, you know how packed it gets. There are people and carts everywhere, and the noise is constant from morning until night. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal with metal all day, so there’s a lot of clanging and banging as things get moved around. The space is small, so we have to stack things high to make room. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different pieces of metal leaning against the walls. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and we’re used to the pace of the market. We don't have a website or anything like that, most people just find us by walking down the lane. We spend a lot of time weighing things and cutting pieces to size for whoever comes in. It’s a very hands-on job. We know most of the other traders around here and we grab tea from the same stall every day. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We don't use any big corporate talk, we just tell people what we have and what it costs. It’s a simple way to run a business. We just keep the inventory moving and the shop open late.
