Meghraj Food Processing India Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No 48, which is part of No 179 in Phase-1 of the Jigani Industrial Area. This is all the way out in Anekal Taluk. It’s a huge area filled with factories and manufacturing units. Our place is a large shed where we do all the food processing work. It is an industrial setting, so it’s not very pretty to look at. We have big machines and stainless steel tables everywhere. The floor is concrete and we have to wash it down every single day to keep things clean. There are about twenty people working here in different shifts. I’m usually here for the morning shift to make sure the machines start up okay. The noise is constant once we get going, and it can get quite hot inside during the summer. We don't have a fancy corporate office. There is just a small cabin with a window that looks out onto the processing floor. We eat our lunch together in a small break area near the back. Jigani is quite a distance from the main city, so most of us commute by bus or bike. The roads are often broken because of the heavy trucks, but we are used to the bumps by now. We just focus on getting the processing done right. We don't do any big promotions. We just fulfill the orders we get.
