Our office is at 429 Padmanabhanagar on the 2nd Cross in the Ashwanth Nagar area. It is a residential neighborhood, which makes it a much calmer place to work compared to the city center. The office is actually a converted house, so it has a very domestic feel to it. We have a few rooms that we use for our consultancy work and a small area where we keep all our files and records. There is a small garden out front with a few potted plants that we try to keep alive. We don't have a formal reception desk or a waiting room with fancy magazines. Usually, if someone comes by, they just knock on the door and one of us will let them in. We have a kitchen where we make our own tea and lunch most days. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and we don't have a strict dress code. Most of our clients are people from the local area who know us by word of mouth. We have a few computers and a printer that occasionally jams, but we manage to get everything done. It is a quiet street, though you occasionally hear the neighbors' dogs or the vegetable seller passing by. We like the quiet pace here. It is an honest, simple way to run a service business without all the unnecessary corporate fluff or complicated meetings.
