You can find our office up on the third floor of number 8 Berlie Street. We’re tucked away in Langford Town, which is a bit quieter than some other parts of the city. Mcml Steels & Alloys has been operating from this spot for some time now. Dealing with steel and different alloys means a lot of paperwork and phone calls, so that's mostly what happens in this space. We aren't a big factory with smoke and heavy machines here; this is where the planning and the orders get sorted out. It's a bit of a climb up to the third floor, but the view isn't bad once you get there. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking on shipments. Sometimes the lift is slow, and the office gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of metal samples lying around on the desks. We handle different grades of metal, which can get confusing if you aren't used to all the numbers, but we've seen enough of it to know what's what. Most of the people we work with have been in the metal trade for years. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do anything flashy or complicated. It's just about getting the right materials to the right people at the right time. If you drop by, you'll likely see us buried in ledgers or on the phone. It's just how we keep things moving.
