Our spot is on Shimpoli Road, right in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar area near Kastur Park. It is a busy little corner of the world. We spend most of our shift behind the counter or back in the kitchen area. The fryers are always going and there is that specific smell of salt and oil that sticks to your clothes. We have a lot of families who come in because of the park being so close by. You see kids running around and parents trying to keep them quiet while they eat their burgers. The tables get sticky pretty fast so one of us is always walking around with a rag and a spray bottle. We have been at this 1812 address for a bit now. Sometimes the line gets long but people are usually patient enough. It is just a regular place where you can get food fast. We don't do anything fancy here. The floor is made of those hard tiles that are easy to mop at the end of the night. During the monsoon, things get a bit messy with the wet shoes but we just keep at it. It is mostly about getting the orders right and making sure nobody waits too long. The kitchen staff works hard and we all just try to get through the rush hours without any major mistakes. It is just life on Shimpoli Road and we are used to the noise.
