Mathru Mobile

We have been running this small mobile shop at number 23 on the Saraswathipuram Main Road for quite a while now. Nandini Layout is a busy area and there is always a lot of noise from the traffic right outside our door. Most of our day is spent hunched over a workbench with tiny screwdrivers and magnifying glasses. We fix cracked screens and batteries that won't hold a charge anymore. It is dusty work and my eyes get tired by the end of the day. The shop isn't very big, so we have just a few stools for people to wait on while we look at their phones. Sometimes the spare parts take a few days to arrive and we have to keep the phones in a locked drawer. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. It is just us here trying to make sure people can get back to their calls and messages. We sell some basic accessories like cables and covers that we hang on the walls. The SFHS area has changed a lot over the years but we just keep doing what we do. People come in with all sorts of problems, some easy and some very frustrating. We just take it as it comes and try to be honest about what can be fixed. It's a simple life in a crowded part of the city, but it keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down.
