Mathru Creations

Mathru Creations is over at 610/2 in the New Colony area. We are on the 2nd Cross, which is quite close to the Jain Temple in T Dasarahalli. It is a peaceful neighborhood for the most part. You can hear the temple bells in the morning, which is a nice way to start the day. Our shop is just a small room in a bigger building. We have a few sewing machines set up along the wall and a large cutting table in the middle. The space is always cluttered with patterns and spools of thread. We tend to have bits of string stuck to our socks by the time we go home. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. The walls are decorated with some old calendars and a few photos of family. We spend a lot of time sitting and focused on the needles. It can be hard on the eyes, so we try to take breaks to look out at the street. Sometimes the neighbors bring us snacks or just stop by to complain about the weather. It is just a small, local operation trying to keep up with the daily work.
