Planet Design is up on the second floor of Maruthi Court. We are at No. 47/1-23, specifically in the Tata Silk Farm area of Basavangudi. It is actually a pretty quiet part of the city compared to the main K. R. Road. Our office is filled with computers and large screens because that is where all the work happens. We spend most of our hours sitting down, clicking mice, and looking at layouts. It is a creative space, but it looks like any other office with desks, chairs, and half-empty coffee mugs. The light comes in through the big windows in the afternoon, which is nice. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and talk about things other than work. Basavangudi has a lot of old trees and it feels different from the newer parts of Bangalore. Being on the second floor means we get a decent view of the street below. We usually have a few projects going on at the same time, so there is a bit of back and forth between the team members. It is not always quiet; sometimes we have long discussions about where a line should go or what color works better. We just stay focused on our screens and try to get the designs finished by the end of the day. It is a steady pace of work here in Maruthi Court and we like the neighborhood a lot.
