Balaji Footwear

We've been here in Mathikere for a while now, right near the Indian Oil petrol bunk on 1st Main. It’s just a small place at 51/1 where we keep a variety of shoes and sandals for people living around here. Running a footwear shop means you talk to a lot of neighbors every day. Some people come in looking for something sturdy for work, while others just need flip-flops for around the house. We try to keep the shelves stocked with things that actually last because nobody wants to buy new shoes every month. The shop isn't fancy or anything, just some racks and a couple of stools to sit on while you try things on. It gets busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work or stopping for fuel next door. We know most of the regulars by name now. It’s nice being part of the local street life here. If you're walking past the bunk, you'll see us. We usually have a few boxes stacked up near the door if a new delivery just came in. Sometimes the space feels a bit tight when a whole family comes in at once, but we manage. We just focus on getting people what they need so they can go about their day comfortably. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. We've seen many kids grow up and come back for larger sizes.
