Matangi Iron & Steel Co

Our shop is at number 13 in Indira Nagar. Dealing in iron and steel isn't the cleanest job in the world, but it is what we do here every day. The place is usually full of inventory stacked up high. You can smell the metal when you walk in. Most days start with checking what came in the night before and making sure everything is where it should be. We deal with a lot of different people, from small contractors to guys just needing a few pieces for a home repair. Indira Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the front. We have a small team here who know how to handle the heavy stuff without making too much of a fuss. It is mostly about getting the iron out to whoever needs it on time. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is rough because of all the metal being dragged across it. It is a real working environment. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just take things as they come. It’s about being there when someone needs a specific type of steel for their work. We just keep things moving and don't worry about much else besides the daily tasks at hand. It keeps us grounded and focused on the real work.
