Marotia Ispat Udyog

Working at Peenya Industrial Area 50/15 is something you get used to after a while. It is usually dusty and quite noisy during the day. Marotia Ispat Udyog has been sitting in this spot for some time now. We spend most of our hours moving heavy stuff around. It is mostly iron and steel pieces that need to be sorted or loaded. My hands are usually pretty dirty by ten in the morning and they stay that way until I go home. It is not a fancy setup. The metal roof gets really hot in the summer and when it rains the sound is so loud you can hardly hear yourself think. We have a few guys here who really know the machines well. We just get on with the orders that come in. Sometimes the trucks show up late and we have to sit around waiting. We usually drink tea from the small stall down the road while we wait for the driver to arrive. It is a lot of physical work like lifting and checking the stock. We have to make sure the measurements are not off by much. There is a lot of scrap metal piled up in the corner too. It feels like every other workshop in Peenya but it is ours. We do not have a big office. Just a simple desk with a lot of papers and some old chairs. It is an honest way to make a living.
