Marma Goa Steel Ltd is based up on J C Road. Our office is at 84 Journalist Colony, inside Manish Tower on the 5th floor. J C Road is almost always packed with traffic, mostly people looking for car parts or hardware. Being up on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of all that chaos down below. We deal with steel, which is a heavy business, but this specific office is mostly for the admin side and the sales stuff. It gets a bit dusty because there is always some construction happening nearby. The elevator in Manish Tower is quite small and sometimes you have to wait a while for it to come down. Inside the office, it is just a regular workspace with metal cupboards and some desks that have seen better days. We have quite a few ledgers and different samples of steel grades lying around on the shelves. Journalist Colony is a slightly quieter pocket compared to the main road, but it is still pretty loud. We are just a group of people making sure the orders go out and the supplies come in from the different plants. It is not a fancy setup. We have a small corner for making tea and we usually keep the windows shut to keep the dust out. Most of the staff here has been with us for years. It is practical work in a very practical part of the city.
