Furqans Wood Castle

Furqans Wood Castle is sitting right on the Outer Ring Road at No. 88. We are diagonally opposite the Multiplex in Marathahalli. It’s a very busy spot, always cars honking and people rushing by. We work with wood, making all sorts of things like cupboards, beds, and tables. You can usually smell the sawdust before you even walk inside. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how a workshop should be, I think. We have some finished pieces out front so people can see what we do. It’s not like those big malls where everything is perfect and plastic. Here, you can see the grain and the work that went into it. There's usually a bit of a breeze coming off the road, which helps with the heat. We get a lot of people stopping by after they finish watching a movie across the street. They just want to look around. We don’t mind. Some days we are buried in orders and the saws are running from morning until dark. Other days, we’re just sanding things down and talking to the regulars. Marathahalli has changed a lot, but people still need furniture. We just spend the day making every piece and hope people like it. It’s just us here, making things by hand and hoping they last a long time in someone’s home. It’s simple, honest work with wood and tools.
