Marata Darshan is just a small spot here on Queens Road, right near Bail Bazar Road 4. It's been in the family for some years now. We open up pretty early to get things ready before the morning rush starts. It’s not a big fancy place or anything. Most people who come here are just looking for a quick meal before they head to work or while they're passing through the area. We have some tables and chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet because we're usually too busy in the back. My cousin helps out with the serving when it gets crowded. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but nobody seems to mind much. We just focus on making the food like we always have. There isn't a huge menu, just the things we know how to make well. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic outside on the road, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood. We don’t do anything flashy. Just Marata Darshan doing its thing every day. We hope the stove keeps working and the supplies show up on time. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place.
